Why we created it
After spending years living in Taiwan and Mainland China, we became used to speaking Chinese every day. This changed after coming back home.
The Discussion Club was created out of our own necessity: after learning many years of Chinese, we discovered it is hard for us to replicate Chinese speaking environment.
Over time, we realized there are many people like us, passionate about Chinese, who struggle with same issues. This is why we have built a like-minded community.
The Discussion Club is integrated within our study club ecosystem but directed towards advanced speakers.
What happens during a session?
Each week we discuss topics connected to the latest edition of the Mandarin Zest Magazine.
You'll have the chance to:
- practice recently learned vocabulary
- give and explain your own opinions in Chinese
- meet and connect with other ambitious learners
- improve your fluency through regular speaking
- become more comfortable discussing complex topics naturally
Sessions are structured enough to keep conversations flowing while giving everyone the opportunity to participate.
